新加坡國立大學Kay Chen TAN博士來校進行學術交流與訪問
應國家“111”創新引智基地、國際智能感知與計算研究中心、智能感知與圖像理解教育部重點實驗室的邀請,IEEE計算智能雜志主編、新加坡國立大學電器與計算機工程系副主任Kay Chen TAN博士于2013年7月5日至12日來我校進行學術交流與訪問。實驗室主任焦李成教授對Kay Chen TAN博士的到來表示了熱烈的歡迎。訪問期間,Kay Chen TAN博士參觀了國際智能感知與計算研究中心、智能感知與圖像理解教育部重點實驗室,Kay Chen TAN博士對我實驗室近年來所取得成績給予了高度的評價,認為積極推進雙方合作交流對于雙方學科建設和發展有著十分重要的意義。
2013年7月8日上午,Kay Chen TAN博士在智能感知與圖像理解教育部重點實驗室報告廳作了題為“Evolutionary Algorithms for Learning and Optimization”的學術報告。報告會由劉靜教授主持,報告首先介紹了EMO的概況,之后討論了EMO研究所面臨的挑戰,以及當前一些較好的EMO算法,最后討論了將進化計算應用到實際工程中的問題。
此次報告會有兩百余名師生參加,會場座無虛席。Kay Chen TAN博士細致深入的講解贏得了在場師生的一致好評。此次報告會拓展了師生的學術視野,也使廣大師生對進化計算有了更加深入的了解和認識。
Biography: Kay Chen TAN is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore. He is actively pursuing research in computational and artificial intelligence, with applications to multi-objective optimization, scheduling, automation, data mining, and games. Dr Tan has published over 100 journal papers, over 100 papers in conference proceedings, co-authored 5 books, co-edited 4 books. Dr Tan is currently an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. He also is currently the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Computational Intelligence Magazine and serves as an Associate Editor / Editorial Board member of over 15 international journals. Dr Tan is the awardee of the 2012 IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Outstanding Early Career Award for his contributions to evolutionary computation in multi-objective optimization. He also received the Recognition Award (2008) from the International Network for Engineering Education & Research (iNEER) for his outstanding contributions to engineering education and research.
